Kids with Special Needs from 6-16 Interact and Learn with Tablet Technology

SmartEdTech sent a news team to Gilroy United School District (California) to interview teachers and to film students using our learning management system. The program started with teacher Ramona Trevino, two devices and ten students. It has grown to include forty teachers, multiple devices and 400 students.

This two-minute video shows it all, but the really special parts are the faces, smiles and giggles of the children involved. When you see kids awake and alert and engaged, as instructor Tim Lemos attested, “That’s a big bonus for a teacher!"

SmartEdTech’s learning system can be used on both Android and iOS platforms. You can download at no charge through iTunes, or contact support@smartedtech for Android information.

This short video explains how to set student goals as discussed  in the Gilroy USD video.

I wanted to share a great success story.  Over the last year I have been using the SmartEdTech devices more and more in class.  One of my little ladies had a goal that she would count past 14.  She is in her sophomore year and has not been able to meet that goal since the 7th grade. We have a time set aside for Math using the SmartEdTech activities. Yesterday we asked her to count out loud and she counted to 20!!!!! I am so happy.
