GET YOUR STUDENTS READY for RIO!

Combining current events with IEP goals is a sure way to engage your students in learning! Whether you are working with students this summer or you decide to review the August Olympics after school starts, you can mix and match SmartEdTech’s communication cards and app activities to enhance your lesson plans.
You have some great options. Download the communication cards from our Website and print the cards that work for you. Use those same activities for building your own flashcard set within the app. Or add your own images to build a unique lesson.

For an Olympics lesson, check out the following activities and communication cards:

Fourth of July: flags and fireworks
School Items: soccer ball, world map, swimming pool
Verbs Sports: soccer player, swimming competition

You can add a social studies component by choosing foods, animals or natural resources that will teach the students about Brazil.
