Five Key Benefits of Mobile Learning

Statistics from a survey by Project Tomorrow show that teachers, parents and principals believe that mobile learning is an important factor in today’s education. With over 405,000 responses from over 9,000 schools, several key benefits were assessed:

  • Provides a way for students to review materials anytime
  • Extends learning beyond the school day
  • Personalizes learning
  • Increases student engagement
  • Improves school to home communications

Surprisingly, the survey also revealed that the views of teachers and parents were more similar than the views of teachers and principals.

SmartEdTech’s app and learning management system provides an exceptional avenue for learning with mobile devices for students with special needs.

Project Tomorrow provides a full page graphic analysis of its findings which include:

  • Student Access to Mobile Devices by Age
  • Percentage of schools providing tablets or laptops by Grade Level
  • How students use their  mobile devices for school work
  • BYOD access in the classroom –concerns

As students progress, their needs change. This two-minute video shows you how to edit an individual student’s view.
