Share Your Election 2016 Lesson Plans with SmartEdTech

Our special needs students often need help in wading through the election hoopla. How are you going to teach the election process? SmartEdTech  plans to publish the “best of the best” teaching ideas in our newsletter in time for you to use them with your students in October.

From building a polling booth in your classroom to using polling software on your tablets, send an email to Cyndee@smartedtech.com  with ideas to share.  The email can be as simple as a few sentences to give an overview – include resource links if you have them.

Matt Davis, a contributor to Edutopia, has some great ideas and resources that you could use or adapt in his blog Election 2016: Lesson Plans and Digital Resources for Educators. PBS has good election overviews in The Race is On: Helping Kids Understand the Elections.

You can build your own election lesson plan with SmartEdApp – combining such diverse activities as the Fourth of July, Feelings 1 and 2, and Finish My Thoughts.  Download Version 4.0 and get started today!

We are looking forward to helping you to help your students! Email your teaching ideas to Cyndee@smartedtech.com
