Sixteen New Activities for Students Ages 4-8 Are Added by SmartEdTech

Sixteen activities with topics ranging from finding lower case letters on soaring balloons for younger children, to detecting the “s” on plural nouns for the older ones, were released by SmartEdTech on February 3.

“The upload features exciting new activities for preschool through second grade,” reports Kathy Burdick, Director of Content for SmartEdTech. “Whether following directions with a game of Rover Says, patterned after the childhood game Simon Says, or learning how to segment and blend short a and e words – the new release is /f/, /un/.... fun!”

Other activities sure to be favorites with your students include practicing the “R” sound with dinosaurrrrs, thinking about community helpers and future careers, and discussing holidays and traditions.

When you connect to the Internet and open the app on your tablet, the activities will automatically update.

For teacher prep, go to the Activities section of the SmartEdTech Website; click on an individual activity to find teaching suggestions, how-to-use videos and the education standards that the activity reinforces.

If you have friends whom you think would like to learn more about SmartEdTech, please forward this newsletter to them.

I like that the app provides a variety of activities for each child, so that he/she doesn’t become bored while working on a specific skill!
